Bootstrapping is the way to go! Working from home is the best option, and there are many ways to keep the work/life areas separate (it's well documented on the web). However, if you need to communicate a lot with your other team members it's a problem. Anyway, good luck with the new startup and blog!
I hate working from home as well - did it for 3 years, was nice sometimes but you can be distracted easily. I would rent a basement (small kitchen included) in some suburb (Oranit? :)). It should cost around 300$ per month and have suffice space for 3-4 people.
